Terms of Service

Terms at a glance

  • CardTotal is an informational service. We are not a bank, lender, or financial advisor.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. All fees are non-refundable except where a promotional offer explicitly provides a refund window.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration in Colorado. Class actions are waived.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CardTotal website and application (the “Service”), operated by Iron Vector Labs LLC (“CardTotal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

2. Description of Service

CardTotal is a personal credit card spending dashboard that displays financial account balance information and budgeting tools using data retrieved through third-party providers, including Plaid Technologies, Inc.

CardTotal:

  • Is not a bank
  • Is not a lender
  • Is not a financial advisor
  • Does not provide credit repair services
  • Does not guarantee financial accuracy

The Service is informational only.

3. Financial and Data Accuracy Disclaimer

The Service depends on third-party systems, including:

  • Financial institutions
  • Plaid Technologies, Inc.
  • Payment processors

You acknowledge:

  • Financial data may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete
  • We do not guarantee accuracy of balances or transaction data
  • You are solely responsible for verifying balances with your financial institution
  • CardTotal is not liable for overdrafts, missed payments, credit score impacts, interest charges, or financial losses

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

4. Stripe Billing and Payment Processing

CardTotal uses Stripe, Inc. as its third-party payment processor.

By subscribing, you:

Subscription Terms

Subscriptions:

  • Automatically renew at the end of each billing period
  • Continue until canceled
  • Are billed in advance

You authorize recurring charges until cancellation.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund prior charges except as described below.

Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable except where a promotional offer explicitly provides a refund window. If you redeem a promotional code that includes a refund window, refund requests must be submitted within the period stated in that promotion and apply only to the initial subscription purchase.

  • Partial billing periods are not prorated
  • Chargebacks initiated without contacting support may result in immediate account suspension

We reserve the right to contest fraudulent chargebacks.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  • We may suspend or downgrade your account
  • Access may be restored upon successful payment

5. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.

We implement reasonable security measures, but you acknowledge that no system is completely secure.

You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit vulnerabilities
  • Scrape or automate data extraction
  • Interfere with platform security
  • Misrepresent your identity
  • Share paid subscriptions outside permitted Family Plan usage

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion for violations.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, design, text, and content are owned by Iron Vector Labs LLC.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.

You may not:

  • Copy
  • Redistribute
  • Reverse engineer
  • Create derivative works

User-generated data remains yours, but you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service.

8. Service Availability

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous uptime
  • Error-free operation
  • Permanent feature availability

We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDTOTAL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT

We do not warrant:

  • Data accuracy
  • Service continuity
  • Freedom from errors
  • Compatibility with all devices

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

CARDTOTAL, IRON VECTOR LABS LLC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT DAMAGES
  • CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • SPECIAL DAMAGES
  • INCIDENTAL DAMAGES
  • PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOST PROFITS
  • FINANCIAL LOSSES
  • CREDIT IMPACTS
  • DATA LOSS

IN NO EVENT SHALL TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  • $100 USD
  • THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CARDTOTAL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM

This limitation applies regardless of legal theory.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Iron Vector Labs LLC from any claims arising out of:

  • Your misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law
  • Disputes with financial institutions

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Internet outages
  • Third-party provider failures
  • Financial institution outages
  • Natural disasters
  • Government actions

13. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Please read carefully

You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration conducted in Colorado.

You waive the right to:

  • Trial by jury
  • Participate in class actions
  • Participate in collective or representative actions

Arbitration shall be administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

If arbitration is found unenforceable, disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Colorado courts.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.

You consent to jurisdiction in Colorado.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion.

Upon termination:

  • Your access ceases immediately
  • Subscription fees remain owed
  • Liability limitations survive termination

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Material updates will reflect a revised effective date.

Continued use constitutes acceptance.
